The Gallery - Polish Daily News

The Gallery of The Polish Daily News was started in 1989, with the objective to present the work of Polish artists to the art connoisseurs of New York. From the very inception, the gallery had two primary functions: to organize exhibits for Polish artists and to present the work of painters, sculptors and designers to potential buyers. Due to frequently organized modern art exhibits, as well as occasional retrospectives, the gallery has become synonymous with Polish art in New York. It is also important to point out that it has been the main contributor to many important functions organized for the Polish community. One of these functions is of course the Art Auction for the Preservation of Polish Art and Culture organized in The Polish Consulate.

Over the years the Polish Daily News Gallery has organized exhibits for artists such as: Jerzy Duda-Gracz, Mairian Jarzemski, Eidrigevicius Stasys, Tadeusz Chabrowski, Zdzislaw Beksinski, Kiejstut Bereznicki, Danuta Grabinska, Ryszard Kieltyk, Zbyslaw Marek Maciejewski, Franciszek Masluszczak, Jozef Panfil, Barbara Warzenska, Jolanta Zdrzalik, Lubomir Tomaszewski and Vojtek Moszynski.

The paintings presented for sale are priced very reasonably. The reason for this is a close relationship of the gallery to Jerzy Duda-Gracz and Wieslaw Ochman, who are adept at discovering new talent and often help us buy work directly from the artists.

Shtooka Gallery and the Polish-american Bookstore are pleased to present you a Series of Portraits of Polish Writers by Janusz Kapusta. Each of them is available on two different formats - original drawings (ink on paper) and copies of them of a postcard (5,5" x 8,5") signed by artist. The price of a postcard is $30.

The Gallery of The Polish Daily News has also become the meeting place for artists of sorts, the center for film buffs and the home of The Polish PhotographerÉs Club.
